Lois A. Minton

	Lois A. Minton, age 89, of Pinckneyville, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2002 at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
	Lois was born May 18, 1913 in Scheller, the daughter of Isaac and Lena (Newbury) Quinn.  She was united in marriage to Cletes D. Minton November 12, 1939 and he survives.  They celebrated 62 years of marriage in November 2001.  Lois was an Elementary School teacher for 28 years, having taught at Waltonville, Scheller and Modoc and retiring from District #204 in Pinckneyville after 20 years of service.  Lois was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pinckneyville and was known for her kindness by all who knew her.
	Lois is survived by her husband, Cletes of Pinckneyville; two sisters, Hattie Mabry of Collinsville and Ruth Fagan of Alton; several nieces and nephews and a dear friend and caretaker, Bernice Kellerman.  She was preceded in death by her parents;  three brothers, Glenn, Joe and Ralph Quinn and a sister, Marcella Ujka.
	Funeral services were planned for Wednesday, July 17 at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville at 10 a.m. with Reverend James Bush officiating.  Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in DuQuoin.
	Friends called at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home on the day of the service from 9:30 until 10 a.m.
	 Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Perry County or the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
